Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock has admitted that if his team do no win this game they can forget about staying in the Premier League for another season. The Bluebirds are in deep trouble, having lost five of their last six games, and sit four points behind Brighton & Hove Albion, who occupy the last of the safe spots in the table. Kenneth Zohore could return to the team to give the Bluebirds something of a boost, though, as he has recovered from a thigh injury.
For Crystal Palace, the complexion of this game is very different. The Eagles are already safe from relegation, and head into this match looking for their fifth away Premier League victory in six games. Only Tottenham Hotspur have beaten them during that run of away wins.
Cardiff City vs Crystal Palace Prediction: Bluebirds 0-1 Palace
Our prediction for this game is that Palace will condemn City to relegation by beating them 1-0. The goal could very well be yet another Luka Milivojevic penalty. Cardiff look like a team that is relegated in all but name, and they have spurned opportunities to take the points they needed to be safe from relegation. Injuries to key men like Sol Bamba and Callum Paterson have also damaged their chances of staying up. Palace have players like Wilfried Zaha who can create magic from almost nothing, and they should have too much for Cardiff on Saturday evening.
Our recommended tip: Palace 1-0
Our featured tip for this game comes from Betway, who are offering odds of 13/2 on Palace winning the game 1-0. We think that this is a good bet as it offers very good value in terms of the odds on offer. This is unlikely to be a game in which hatfuls of goals are scored, given the tension surrounding Cardiff’s plight at the moment. Things could well get desperate for the Bluebirds. If you want to boost the odds, back Milivojevic to score from the penalty spot too, as that has happened a lot this season.
These two sides have met on just three previous occasions in the Premier League. Out of those three games, Palace have won two and there has been one draw. The first two Premier League meetings were in the 2013/14 season, when Palace won 2-0 at Selhurst Park, and then followed that up with a 3-0 victory at the Cardiff City Stadium later in the season.
Earlier in the current campaign, the two sides clashed at Selhurst Park on Boxing Day. The game was a frustrating affair for all concerned, as it ended in a 0-0 draw.

Players to watch: Victor Camarasa & Wilfried Zaha
Cardiff midfielder Victor Camarasa has become an increasingly important figure for the Bluebirds in recent weeks. City have scored just two goals in their last four league matches, so if they want to win this game players like Camarasa need to step and create chances as well as take them. The Spaniard has directly contributed to nine goals in his 31 Premier League appearances in 2018/19, having scored five and provided four assists.
Palace winger Wilfried Zaha remains the main attacking threat for Roy Hodgson’s team, although there have been questions asked in recent times as to whether the Ivorian international scores enough goals. He has managed nine goals in his 32 Premier League outings in 2018/19, but has provided just three assists for his team-mates. He has also created five big chances in the Premier League, and has crossed the ball 35 times.
