Everton take on Fulham in what should be a very entertaining game at Goodison Park between two sides that need to win. Marco Silva’s hosts are without a victory in four games, although they were significantly better last time out against Arsenal when they missed too many chances.
Meanwhile, Fulham are three games without a victory and have just the one success this season, which came at home to Burnley. They are without a victory on the road but they are an entertaining side and have the ability to cause anyone problems, particularly with Aleksandr Mitrovic who is the top scorer in the league.
Therefore it promises to be a good game between two sides who will be desperate to get a win to kickstart their season.
Everton vs Fulham Prediction: Everton 3-2 Fulham
With home advantage you have to fancy Everton who were much-improved against Arsenal last time out. The Toffees are a good side with Richarlison giving them that cutting edge and they will be excited at getting up against a Fulham defence that hasn’t convinced this season. Watford gave them all sorts of problems and we think Everton will do the same and edge a close, exciting game.

Despite that, we certainly wouldn’t be too shocked if Fulham were to leave Merseyside with something. They have a talented squad after a quite remarkable summer window, with Seri a standout player in the middle of the park. His creativity and energy, combined with the class of Andre Schurrle and power of Mitrovic means they will fancy their chances of scoring against an Everton side that don’t do clean sheets this season.
This will be the 62nd meeting between the sides and it’s a fixture that Everton have edged, winning 29 games compared to Fulham’s 19. Their record at Goodison Park is frighteningly good over the Cottagers though. Fulham have not won their since 1975 and have lost 14 straight Premier League games at the famous old ground – an incredible run.

Players to watch: Richarlison & Aleksandr Mitrovic
Anyone who saw the game last week could see what a difference the talented Brazilian makes to Silva’s side. He gives them a really powerful option in the final third, with his pace, skill and technique too much for opposition defenders to handle. Even at this early stage of his Everton career, he has established himself as the main man in the team and will be the guy the hosts look to as they seek a much-needed victory today.
As for Fulham, the key man is equally as obvious. The Serbian striker just seems to fit at Fulham, with his goals turning them from a mid-table Championship side with ability to the real promotion candidates. He has carried that on this season, impressing with his hold-up ability and strength in the air. Most importantly though, he scores goals and if they are to have a good season he will be pivotal.
