Grosvenor Review 2020 – Our rating and experience with Grosvenor sports UK
Zuletzt aktualisiert & geprüft: 30.11.2020
Grosvenor Casino online is part of one of the best known casino brands in the UK. Established in 1970, with headquarters in Maidenhead, Grosvenor has gone on to own and operate 56 casinos in major cities across the UK, as well as providing a growing Grosvenor online entertainment offering for millions of happy players. For your safety and confidence, Grosvenor is registered in Alderney, and licensed and regulated by both the Alderney Gambling Control Commission for players outside the UK and the UK Gambling Commission for players from the UK. Grosvenor Casinos online provides a full casino experience, with a sportsbook, a Grosvenor bonus, video slots games, casino table and card games, poker games, and an extensive live casino offering. But here in our Open Odds Grosvenor review including those all important Grosvenor rating scores, we’ll be concentrating on the sports betting bonuses offered by Grosvenor Casinos.
The result of the OpenOdds Grosvenor review
Although Grosvenor Casinos is a massive United Kingdom casino chain, in terms of real world, bricks and mortar casinos, it’s relatively small in the online world. The Grosvenor sports section is fairly new and small. But it’s still a well designed, fully featured sports betting offering across a number of sports and there’s a tempting Grosvenor bonus too. Their live in-play betting offerings and coverage might not have the live streaming bells and whistles of someone like bet365 perhaps, but Grosvenor definitely delivers everything you need and more to make a great in-play betting choice.
In terms of customer service and safety, you’d expect a bookmaker specialising in the casino business for nearly half a century to get these things right online and they do, Is Grosvenor safe? Can you trust Grosvenor? Does Grosvenor offer a good customer experience? Absolutely! In our Grosvenor sportsbook review, we found that the bookie offers players a good betting experience and our Open Odds Grosvenor rating reflects that.
Grosvenor: OpenOdds 10 Review Categories
Comprehensive Rating Report Concerning This Top Bookmaker
All bookmakers thoroughly tested by the OpenOdds team, must prove themselves in the following 10 review categories, even Grosvenor!
01.Bonuses:Double The Odds bonus only, Grosvenor could do better here.
The main Grosvenor sign up bonus is an impressive £20 Grosvenor free bets offer. Unfortunately, this bonus is only for slots and casino games, and cannot be used in the sportsbook. This is a real shame and will obviously affect the Grosvenor review rating for bonuses. The best online bookmakers make bonuses open to all. So, if the answer to ‘does Grosvenor offer a free bet?’ is ‘no, there’s no Grosvenor sports free bet’, what do they offer? The only sportsbook bonus is their Double The Odds promotion. This is available on the main site and the Grosvenor app. The offer doubles the odds for your first sports bet up to a £10 stake. Just click on the 100% odds boost option on the betting slip and the Grosvenor bonus is automatically activated. Although it’s not one of the best free bets offers out there, this is a solid bonus offer with an impressive 60 days to use it. T&C apply, 18+.
02.Customer Service:Excellent customer service from Grosvenor, available 24/7 and free.
In the modern world of betting online, when you have a question or a problem, it’s so frustrating to find that the bookmaker’s customer service department only opens at certain times. Here, in our Grosvenor sportsbook review, we’re delighted to say that Grosvenor’s customer service is excellent. They offer email and even post options, but best of all they offer you a 24/7 UK free phone telephone support number and a 24/7 live chat option to get those answers immediately. This is exactly what you should expect from a modern bookmaker and Grosvenor meets those expectations every step of the way. There are some other bookmakers out there, including some industry leaders, who could learn a thing or two from Grosvenor’s excellent customer service department.
03.Sports Covered: A good range of sports, but not the depth of matches and fixtures we want.
Here’s one area where our Grosvenor sportsbook review shows that this bookie needs to improve. They offer a good range of sports, with 34 in total, including special politics and TV/novelty categories. They certainly offer something from all of the main sports you could want to bet on, including football, horse racing, ice hockey, tennis, American football, and baseball. There’s also the opportunity to place your bets on some rather more unusual sports such as WWE, trotting, pesapallo, fusball, and even chess! But the problem we have is that they don’t offer that many matches and events in a lot of these betting markets. They cover football comprehensively, with more than 25,000 different games available to bet on usually. But after this, the number of betting opportunities for other sports drops dramatically. Grosvenor only offers maybe a couple of hundred horse racing bets, for example.
04.Payment methods: All the main methods available here at Grosvenor!
We’re happy to be able to report that everything to do with payment methods, both Grosvenor deposit & withdrawal, is just as it should be. Easy and fee-free. So there’s no need to worry about anything when it comes to payments at Grosvenor Casino and Sportsbook. How do I cash out with Grosvenor? Deposits and withdrawals are available using the most popular methods, including debit/credit cards. You can also use popular e-wallets, including Neteller and Skrill and the prepaid, paysafecard. One of the glaring omissions from the list is PayPal. Hopefully this will change in the future and we’ll tell you about that when we update our Grosvenor review. Best of all, there are no fees for depositing or withdrawing from your account. However, you have to be very careful when using credit cards with any bookmaker, as credit card providers have a habit of treating betting transactions as cash transactions and charge a sometimes hefty fee.
05.Security:As solid as you’d expect from an established name bookmaker.
Is Grosvenor safe? With nearly fifty years in casinos, Grosvenor has a long established reputation in being a safe and secure casino operator with all the required security, verification and privacy policies in place. It’s certainly carried this over into its online casino operation. The casino and sportsbook all operate using secure ‘https’ webpages using SSL technology to keep your data, information and financial details completely safe. All of the necessary privacy and security policies regarding data protection and ensuring your details are kept securely are available to all players at the site. Grosvenor hold gambling licenses with the Alderney Gambling Control Commission and the United Kingdom Gaming Commission, two very respected and industry leading organisations, so you can be sure that Grosvenor online is safe and secure and fully licensed and regulated.
06.Betting Odds: Very reasonable odds for all sports at Grosvenor.
When it comes to maximizing your winnings, the best way is to pick your bookmaker and pick your sports for the very best betting margins. The better the odds, the better the winnings! And as our rating shows you, Grosvenor does pretty well in this department. They’re not the best, but they’re certainly not the worst and in a betting odds comparison with other major bookmakers, you’ll find that their odds are competitive across the board, no matter the sporting type. In fact, they give consistently good odds for a range of sports and sometimes, especially in football, will give really good odds. One very good thing to look for at Grosvenor is their fabulous ‘Odds Boost’ promotion and their ‘Double the Odds’ promotion, both of which could really pay off in a big way.
07.User-friendliness: Looks a little old-fashioned, but does everything you need!
With its black, white, and dark blue design, the Grosvenor site doesn’t look as smart, modern or snappy as many other bookmakers out there. But underneath this old feeling design, the actual website is really well designed, and that always wins out over flashy designs and graphics in our Grosvenor reviews. Everything is clearly laid out, with everything where we’d expect it to be and everything works quickly and well. We’d always like to have style and functionality, but given the choice, we always take a site that works well and looks a little old over a flashy modern site that’s badly laid out and difficult to use. On the Grosvenor app things are much better, with a more stylish design combined with all of the good functionality we found on the main website, making this one of the great betting apps.
08.In-play Product: Great live in-pay interface, just not enough in-play choices to enjoy!
Grosvenor does offer live in-play betting, but unfortunately there’s just not enough of it. This is a pity, as, if you love your sports betting, you’ll already be aware of just how much fun it is to make in-play bets. Betting when the action’s taking place really adds something extra to the whole experience. Grosvenor offers live in-play betting on many of their sports, but most of them are in football markets from around the world. As yet, there’s no live streaming option as offered by some top bookies, such as bet365. But the actual Grosvenor live in-play betting process is actually really great. Simply click on the game you want to place your bet on and it opens up a split-screen view, with betting options and, best of all, a stat-filled image of the pitch or game, that updates to show attacks, important events, points won, goals scored, all depending on the sport.
09.Other Products: But, of course! This is Grosvenor CASINO after all!
It’s perhaps a little obvious to say, but Grosvenor Casino online does far, far more than sports betting. In fact, they only added their new sports betting section recently. Over the years, Grosvenor made their name in the world of gambling as first a chain of real-world casinos, before moving into the online space. So, yes, they certainly offer extras. The site offers the full casino experience, including a full card and table game section where you can play blackjack, roulette and 3-card brag, as well as various video poker games. They offer a dedicated poker room, and a slots and games section. As you might expect from an online bookmaker with a massive chain of casinos, Grosvenor really goes big on its live casino section, with plenty of live games with real dealers video streamed for your playing pleasure.
10.Betting Limits: Great to see a beginner-friendly low minimum stake at Grosvenor.
As with most online bookmakers, Grosvenor’s betting limits vary from sport to sport and event to event. But overall, we’re pleased to see that they offer a minimum stake of just £0.10 in most sports bets. This is great as it really welcomes beginners and those who like to be cautious in their betting. As for maximum bets and maximum winnings allowed, it all depends on the sport. For example, the maximum winnings and consequently maximum bet limit in football varies according to the tournament or league you want to bet on. Higher profile leagues and tournaments will have maximum wins of £250,000, while lower profile leagues and tournament matches are lower, at £100,000 or £50,000. The lowest maximum winning per bet we found at Grosvenor was £25,000 on sports, such as handball.
