Redbet Review 2018 – Read our Bookmaker Rating in 5 Mins
Redbet is an online betting site founded in 2002 that has been providing online betting services since 2004. Redbet.com is part of the Evoke Gaming Group, based in Malta and is regulated/licensed through the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission.
Redbet offers sports betting, live sports betting, slots, casino, poker and live dealer casino. The sports betting choice is huge with a great selection of live and in-play sports bets available.
The result of the OpenOdds Redbet review
Redbet has been an online bookmaker for a long time, yet is still a relatively unknown brand. We have looked at all aspects of this bookie in our Redbet review and have found them to be a good, although not great online bookmaker.
Overall, we give Redbet an OpenOdds rating of 70 out of 100.
Redbet experiences: good but not great!
Redbet delivers on its sportsbook offering, and we found a great number of sports available from around the world in our sportsbook review, complete with excellent in-play sports options. Its other products (casino, slots) are similarly excellent and wide-ranging. Betting with Redbet is simplicity itself, with the site completely secure and safe to use.
On the negative side, the customer service could be better and a lack of a dedicated mobile app is a major failing. For banking we’re rather mystified at the lack of a Paypal option. But despite those, we still found in our Redbet review that our experience was good.
Experiences with Redbet: The strongest bookmaker in Britain
- Over 60,000 sporting events to choose from every month.
- Great range of sports betting options.
- Extensive live in-play betting options.
- Easy to use and intuitive customer experience.
- No mobile Redbet app available.
Redbet: OpenOdds 10 review categories Comprehensive rating report concerning this top bookmaker
All bookmakers thoroughly tested by the OpenOdds team, must prove themselves in the following 10 review categories, even Redbet!
01.Bonuses:Could do with more!
To access the Redbet bonus offers you first have to sign up to the site. This couldn’t be simpler; just a few details and an email verification and you’re in.
Sadly, at the time of this Redbet review we could only access one main sportsbook offer. Yes, it’s a decent offer, but other sites offer way more in terms of bonuses. We’d like to see more sports betting bonuses offered.
Redbet Welcome Bonus
The Redbet welcome bonus is split into two rounds. Round one requires you to deposit a minimum of £10 using code WELCOMEFREEBET. From there, you need to place five £10 bets under the qualifying criteria (described better in the T&Cs here). Once you’ve done so, you’ll be credited with a £10 bonus. The action doesn’t stop there though. Deposit a further £10 and place a further five £10 bets and you’ll get another £10 bonus.
02.Customer services:Shouldn’t 24/7 be standard now?
Customer service is through email, telephone and live chat, plus a FAQ section. Live chat and telephone is available from 08:00am-12:00 midnight UTC. We would have expected a 24 hour service and this has dropped our Redbet rating down significantly.
We always think live chat is the best option. And when available, it was answered promptly by knowledgeable staff. Likewise, telephone and email support was good. When we tested all of these help services for our Redbet reviews we found response times good, roughly less than a minute for live chat, four minutes for phone and less than 24 hours for emails.
03.Sports covered:Redbet really delivers
Redbet offers twenty-six sports markets, making it a great sports provider in our Redbet sportsbook review. All the most popular sports are covered, with games from around the world for all the more popular sports such as football, Formula 1, Rugby, Horse Racing. More niche sports are covered as well, so should you wish to bet on Handball, Aussie Rules or Speedway, to name but a few, Redbet has you covered. Redbet also offers a good selection of Esports betting options, something the majority of well-known bookmakers fall short on. Overall in our sportsbook review we can definitely give this the maximum score.
04.Payment methods:Good but not comprehensive, where’s PayPal?
As you would expect, there’s a variety of Redbet deposit & withdrawal methods. These include credit/debit cards, bank transfer, direct bank e-payments and ewallets. Surprisingly there’s no PayPal option.
Debit and Credit Cards at Redbet
We recommend using debit cards as they are the simplest and safest option for deposits and withdrawals. Redbet accepts VISA, VISA Electro and Mastercard debit and credit cards for deposit but strangely, only VISA and VISA Electro for withdrawal.
Deposits are immediate, withdrawals can take up to 5 banking days. There is £10 minimum and £3000 maximum deposit. For withdrawals it’s £18 minimum and £3000 maximum. Deposits and withdrawals have no fee from Redbet. However, we always advise you check with your credit card provider as they can treat gambling transactions as a cash advance and charge a fee.
Using your bank at Redbet
Redbet accepts standard bank transfers, with up to 5 banking days waiting time for deposit and withdrawals. Depositing has a £10 minimum and no maximum, withdrawals are £18 EURO minimum, £1million maximum. There is no fee for bank transfers.
If you bank in Sweden, Estonia, Finland or Poland you can take advantage of Redbet’s direct bank epayment system. The conditions vary from bank to bank but generally there are no fees.
E-wallet banking at Redbet
Redbet also offers various e-wallet methods of banking. Skrill, Neteller or paysafecard are available. Surprisingly, no option to use PayPal. All e-wallet options have a 1-2 minute waiting time on deposit, 1-10 minute waiting time for withdrawal. Minimum deposit is £10, maximum is £10,000. Minimum withdrawal is £18 EURO, maximum is £10,000.
05.Security:All covered at Redbet
Your security when betting online is the most important concern. But in answer to your important question ‘is Redbet safe?’ we can assure you that yes, it is safe, secure and regulated correctly. The Redbet site is regulated for UK customers by the UK Gambling Commission and by the Malta Gambling Commission for non-UK customers.
Redbet is protected with SSL encryption technology. So you can be reassured that your private data will remain private when using Redbet. In addition, Redbet only uses trusted software platforms. Is Redbet safe? We can definitely say yes.
Redbet offers betting on a wide selection of sports, including all of your favourites plus some of the more niche sports out there. And there are plenty of betting options for those of you looking for favourable odds. Just looking at Premier League Football, you can place bets in over sixty different ways.
Redbet’s betting odds are competitive across its markets compared to other major online bookmakers. But saying that, we all really want more than simply competitive and there are definitely better odds out there if you take the time to look.
To make sure you’re getting the very best betting odds available to you, we’d always recommend at Open Odds that you take a look at our betting odds comparison checker to use the best betting strategies.
The Redbet website is a beautifully simple and clear site, with a no frills red, black and white colour scheme. Everything is laid out in a way to make using the website as intuitive as possible.
The clearly marked betting categories, Sports, Live Betting, Casino, Live Casino, and Poker take you to those pages. For example, if you want to place a sports bet, the sports categories are laid out on the left hand sidebar and your betting slip is available on the right hand sidebar, along with the current live betting options.
The website is available in a range of languages, currently English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Swedish, Norwegian, and Finnish.
The Redbet website is available on desktop and mobile devices. Unfortunately there is no option to download a mobile Redbet app, something that we feel should be essential.
08.In-play product:Great worldwide coverage!
Redbet offers a great range of in-play betting options adding so much to the betting experience and Redbet obviously realises this, with a large number of sports allowing multiple in-play bets.
And unlike many of the top bookmakers, live in-play betting isn’t limited to the major sports either. Sure, there’s a host of Football live betting available, but at the time of this review we could place live in-play bets on Basketball, Tennis, Baseball, Beach Volleyball, Handball, Volleyball, and even Table Tennis games from around the world.
Unfortunately there’s no live streaming option yet at Redbet. But there is a limited cash out feature available depending on the event.
09.Other products:As many slots and table games as you could possibly want
If you find yourself in need of something more than Redbet’s excellent sportsbook, there’s plenty on offer here, with video slots, casino table games, live casino and poker all available.
There are an incredible 490 video slot games on offer on the site, including 19 jackpot slots. If you’re after table games then Redbet also offers a great choice, with thirty-eight in total. There are multiple versions of Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat, Pontoon, and Punto Banco available to play. There are also sixteen different video poker games to play, should that be your thing. The Live Casino at Redbet features 24-hour live dealing rooms where you can enjoy all of your favourite table games live streaming to your device.
Redbet provides a good site for newcomers and high rollers alike. The minimum betting limit at Redbet sportsbook is just £0.10. Obviously the minimums for slots and table games vary depending on the slot or game you choose. As for maximum bets, that’s again going to vary depending on sport or game played.
One slight issue with Redbet is that it does have a low maximum winnings limit. When betting on the site there’s a £50,000 per player per day limit on winnings. Yes, a good day’s work indeed if you’re lucky enough, but compared to some online bookie maximum winnings such as Stan James’ £125,000 per day, this is slim pickings indeed.
Our Verdict of Redbet:
This Redbet review at Open Odds will give you everything you should need to know about the site. We believe Redbet is a good choice for your online betting. Is it one of the best online bookmakers? We don’t believe so, but it is a good option for those of you looking for a good, dependable and easy to use site. It has an excellent sportsbook offering with a great in-play choice. It’s a safe site which is very easy to use. But the lack of mobile betting apps, no Paypal option, limited customer service hours and low max winnings levels counted against it.
