It’s a clash between two struggling sides on Tuesday night at Craven Cottage, with Fulham welcoming Brighton & Hove Albion to west London. Claudio Ranieri’s Fulham have lost their four games in all competitions, while Chris Hughton’s Seagulls have also hit a roadblock in recent weeks, and are without a win in their last three games in league and FA Cup. Brighton did at least draw at the weekend, ending a run of two losses, but a 1-1 draw with Championship side West Bromwich Albion is nothing for a Premier League team to celebrate.
Brighton have kept only one clean sheet in their last 13 Premier League games, but they should take some inspiration from some of Fulham’s stats. The Cottagers haven’t beaten Brighton in their last six games, with one draw and five defeats in that run.
Fulham vs Brighton Prediction: Cottagers 1-1 Albion
This game looks set to be a low-scoring affair, and one that we think will end in a draw. A 1-1 draw looks likely. Fulham have scored a single goal in their last six games, but only won one of those games. That solitary victory was a 1-0 win over Huddersfield Town. Since then, they have lost four games in a row, despite scoring in each one. If Brighton were at home, we suspect they would win. As it is, the Seagulls’ confidence is perhaps a little low right now, but they should still manage to score a goal.
Our recommended tip: Correct Score 1-1
Our featured tip for this game comes from Coral, who are offering odds of 5/1 on the game ending in a 1-1 draw. As we have alluded to above, Fulham tend to score a goal in every game, despite being in poor form in recent times. Brighton have also been lacking confidence in recent weeks, so we expect them to be a little blunt in attack. They should still manage to score at least once, though. We think that home advantage will give Fulham enough of an edge to hang on for a point, though.
In total, these two sides have played each other on 49 occasions, stretching back to 1928. Each team has won 22 games, and there have been five draws. In 2016/17, the two sides were in the Championship and played each twice in the league. Brighton won both of those games 2-1.
The most recent meeting was in the Premier League earlier this season, back in September. That game finished in a 2-2 draw. Andre Schurrle opened the scoring in the first half, and Aleksander Mitrovic added a second midway through the second. Glenn Murray pulled one back shortly after that, before equalising from the penalty spot late in the game.

Players to watch: Aleksander Mitrovic & Solomon March
Aleksander Mitrovic has become a pivotal figure to Fulham’s chances of Premier League survival this season. If the Serb is playing well, Fulham have a chance of winning. He has scored eight goals in 23 Premier League appearances this season. He also has an ability to physically challenge defenders, giving them a bruising encounter, which helps to bring other players into the Fulham attack. If he plays well on Tuesday, he might just take Fulham over the line to a victory.
Local boy Solomon March, born in Eastbourne, has emerged as a key figure for the Seagulls this season. The 24-year-old is Albion’s top assist provider this season, having weighed in with five. He has also scored one goal in his 23 Premier League appearances. An ever present in the league, Brighton fans will hope he can add to his tally of seven big chances created this season.
