Arsenal may be in fearsome home form, but the Gunners aren’t quite the same prospect on their travels and now face buoyant Watford at Vicarage Road on Monday Night Football (Sky Sports, kick-off: 20:00 BST).
Unai Emery takes his top four chasing side to the Hornets, who came from two goals down to beat Wolves in extra time and secure a place in the FA Cup final when previously in action.
In the last four months across all competitions, Arsenal have only won twice on the road – getting the better of third tier Blackpool in the cup and Huddersfield Town, who were the first side relegated from the Premier League.
During this spell of dismal away form, the Gunners have lost to Southampton, West Ham United, BATE Borisov and Rennes among others.
Watford, meanwhile, have won their last four home games and look value at 14/5 with BetVictor to upset Emery’s outfit here.
The Hornets’ fine form in front of their own fans comes with a caveat. They tend to concede goals, but outscore the opposition.
Plenty of sting about Hornets at the Vicarage
Javi Gracia’s side have plenty of firepower in attack through Troy Deeney and mercurial Spanish talent Gerard Deulofeu.
The latter has scored six goals in his last eight Watford appearances and is often pushed up front alongside skipper Deeney.
There are also goals from midfield in this Hornets side with Roberto Pereyra, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Etienne Capoue netting 15 between them in all competitions.
All this makes a 54/13 punt with Bethard on a Watford win but both teams to score look a bit of value, especially as Arsenal just don’t seem to deliver on the road and clean sheets are something of a novelty for the hosts.
The Gunners still carry considerable threat through, through top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and fellow forward Alexandre Lacazette.
Bet of the Day: 54/13 with Bethard, Watford to beat Arsenal and both teams to score.
