Ran out a gutsy head winner of the 2018 Irish Grand National over 3m 5f at Fairyhouse.
Bidding to become the first since the Martin Brassil-trained Numbersixvalverde who won the Irish Grand National in 2005 to follow-up in the Grand National (2006).
General Principle has contested four big staying handicap chases in Ireland so far this season, with his best efforts coming when a solid fifth in the Thyestes Chase over 3m 1f at Gowran Park and a close third behind Dounikos in the Irish Grand National Trial (3m 4f) at Punchestown in February.
