Another London derby rounds off the FA Cup fourth round football action on Monday night (kick-off 19:45 GMT) as National League side Barnet host Championship club Brentford.
This battle of the Bees could have a sting in the tail as far as the home team are concerned, because regular Barnet goalie Mark Cousins was sent off last time out.
While caretaker Darren Currie has got the gig at The Hive permanently and masterminded the giant-killing of another second tier side in Sheffield United during the last round, this looks tough especially because of the goalscoring exploits of Brentford in recent games.
Thomas Frank’s team put four past Rotherham United and hit three against Stoke City, so they should be well capable of filling their boots across the capital.
Goals galore in recent games
With Brentford long odds-on to win the match, that price can be nicely enhanced to 11/4 with Betfair if you back them to win and over 3.5 goals in the game.
As that’s something that has happened in the last two Brentford games, and Barnet shipped four at Braintree following Cousins’ early bath, it is perfectly possible.
In French forward Neal Maupay, Brentford have one of the leading Championship strikers this season, albeit his form has cooled down a little after being on fire during the early months of this campaign.
While Barnet are among the lower scorers in their league, they have averaged two goals per game in their last four home matches, so look capable of getting on the scoresheet in front of their own fans.
Shaq Coulthirst has found a bit of form with three goals in his last five games for the home team. Barnet’s cup run does look likely to end here though, with Brentford in such fine fettle in attack.
Bet of the day: Brentford to beat Barnet and over 3.5 goals in the game at 11/4 with Betfair.
