Manchester City have a midweek Premier League fixture at Everton on Wednesday (kick-off 19:45 GMT) knowing victory will take them back to the top of the table on goal difference.
Pep Guardiola’s Citizens are the reigning football champions of England and now tackle a Toffees team that are struggling to defend set pieces.
Despite that defensive frailty, Merseyside outfit Everton haven’t struggled for goals at Goodison Park. Marco Silva’s side have drawn a blank in front of their own fans just once all season.
That doesn’t mean the Toffees are in formidable form, however, as they have won just one of their last six Premier League games on home turf – losing three of the four most recent.

Guardiola can count on his attacking options to punish any weakness in the Toffees’ defence and, while star striker Sergio Aguero hit a hat-trick last time out, it’s actually Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling the hosts may have to worry about most.
Brazil frontman Jesus has three goals in as many career starts against the Toffees, while former Liverpool winger Sterling has scored in each of his last three appearances in this fixture.
Everton have their own goal threats, however, in Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson who have 21 between them across all competitions.
