The unprecedented situation that has resulted in sport shutting down leaves out of contract Premier League players with a problem.
Their deals are up at the end of the season, but there is no way football can be played in England as normal.
It goes beyond permanent contracts too with loan players creating a minefield. Common sense will hopefully prevail, but here is a full list of out of contract Premier League players.
Arsenal
Reserve goalkeeper Matt Macey is the only permanent member of the Gunners’ first-team squad with his deal up.
Mikel Arteta has three loan players – midfielder Dani Ceballos, Portugal right back Cedric Soares and central defender Pablo Mari – on the books. The latter has the option of a permanent transfer to the Emirates.
Aston Villa
Whether Villa stave off relegation or not, they are set to lose on-loan goalie Pepe Reina. Central midfielder Danny Drinkwater was another temporary transfer Dean Smith made in the winter window.
The permanent Villa players out of contract are striker Borja Baston, fellow forward Keinan Davis and reserve keeper Matija Sarkic.
Bournemouth
Eddie Howe is another boss battling the drop. Harry Wilson, on loan from Liverpool, will be going back to Anfield regardless.
Come what may, the Cherries will lose wingers Jordan Ibe and Ryan Fraser, full backs Charlie Daniels and Simon Francis, midfielder Andrew Surman and veteran goalie Artuc Boruc.
Brighton
Israel midfielder Beram Kayal and Italian right-sided player Ezequiel Schelotto are the only two members of Brighton boss Graham Potter’s squad out of contract this summer.
Burnley
Sean Dyche has options to take up on Republic of Ireland left-footer Robbie Brady and holding midfielder Ashley Westwood.
Ex-England pair Aaron Lennon and Joe Hart have their deals at Burnley coming to an end, meanwhile. Fellow goalie Adam Legzdins, midfielder Jeff Hendrick and defender Phil Bardsley are out of contract Premier League players at Turf Moor.
Chelsea
Frank Lampard will be waving goodbye to a number of senior players at Stamford Bridge as things stand.
World Cup winners Pedro Rodriguez and Olivier Giroud are among the forward options on their way.
They are joined by Brazil winger Willian, backup goalkeeper Willy Caballero and Dutch midfield misfit Marco van Ginkel.
Crystal Palace
The Eagles have just two out of contract, with Roy Hodgson set to see centre back Scott Dann and goalie Stephen Henderson leave Selhurst Park.
Everton
Leighton Baines is the biggest name at Goodison Park whose deal is up. Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti is also set to lose veteran keeper Maarten Stekelenburg, defender Cuco Martina and Senegal forward Oumar Niaase.
Full back Djibril Sidibe has the option of turning his loan spell from Monaco into a permanent transfer to Everton.
Leicester City
Premier League title winning captain West Morgan headlines out of contract players at Leicester. Ryan Bennett could turn his loan spell from Wolves permanent, though.
Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers could also lose left back option Christian Fuchs, defensive midfielder Nampalys Mendy and reserve goalie Eldin Jakupovic.
Liverpool
Adam Lallana leaving Liverpool is the main departure from Jurgen Klopp’s squad. The midfielder, right back Nathaniel Clyne and backup keeper Andy Lonergan are all out of contract.
Manchester City
David Silva headlines the exits from the Etihad this summer after over a decade with Man City. Pep Guardiola also loses goalies Claudio Bravo and Scott Carson, so new reserves look needed.
Manchester United
Timothy Fosu-Mensah is the only Old Trafford first-team player with his deal up. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has to decide whether Nigeria striker Odion Ighalo makes a permanent move to the Red Devils.
Newcastle United
The Magpies have the most out of contract Premier League players of any team, so are effected most.
Goalkeeper duo Karl Darlow and Rob Elliot join full backs Javi Manquillo and Jamie Sterry with their deals up.
Local lads such as Matty Longstaff, Jack Colback and Andy Carroll are all out of contract too.
Newcastle have options on three loan players in Algeria midfielder Nabil Bentaleb, Austria’s Valentino Lazaro and Dutch left back Jetro Willems. Danny Rose will return to Tottenham, however.
Norwich City
Slovakia midfielder Ondrej Duda, on loan from Hertha Berlin, is only the player the Canaries will definitely lose. Relegation means others will surely follow, though.
Sheffield United
The Blades have players on short-term deals like Phil Jagielka and Jack Rodwell who are out of contract.
Chris Wilder is also losing striker Leon Clarke, midfielder John Lundstrum, winger Ricky Holmes and full back Kieron Freeman, plus four loan players including number one Dean Henderson.
Southampton
Shane Long is out of contract at St Mary’s, where loanees Kevin Danso and Kyle Walker-Peters will leave at the end of the season.
Tottenham
Belgium defender Jan Vertonghen and Dutch goalie Michel Vorm are leaving Jose Mourinho’s Spurs this summer.
Watford
The Hornets have three keepers out of contract: Daniel Bachmann, Ben Foster and Heurelho Gomes. So are Greece left back Jose Holebas and Watford stalwart Adrian Mariappa.
West Ham United
Former Premier League title winner Pablo Zabaleta and fellow South American player Carlos Sanchez are leaving the Hammers.
Wolves
Ex-England goalie John Ruddy headlines those leaving Molineux. Fringe players Max Kilman, Bright Enokbahare and Phil Ofosu-Ayeh are also on their way.
